TTD Package Tour in Tirupati

TTD has introduced a package tour to take you to the temples around Tirupati. The bus starts from the Central Reception Office, Tirumala at 0600 hrs every day and returns the same day at 1320 hrs to Tirupati.

You will be taken to these temples:

* Sri Venugopalaswami Temple, Karvetinagaram
* Sri Vedanarayanaswami Temple, Nagalapuram
* Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple, Narayanavanam
* Sri Padmavathi Temple, Tiruchanoor

The bus fare is:

* Rs 50.00 for adults (which includes special darshan)
* Rs 25.00 for children

Note : Pilgrims who make use of this facility are given annaprasadam.

Alayadarsanam

TTD has introduced the Alayadarsanam facility to enable pilgrims to visit the sacred shrines in and around Tirupati. These buses operate on a daily basis and start at 0600 hrs, 1000 hrs and 1400 hrs, from the choultry behind the Tirupati railway station.

You will be taken to these temples:

* Sri Padmavathi Temple, Tiruchanoor
* Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swami temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram
* Sri Agastheeswaraswami Temple, Thondavada
* Sri Hare Krishna Temple, Tirupati
* Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple, Tirupati
* Sri Kodanda Ramaswami Temple, Tirupati
* Sri Govindarajaswami Temple, Tirupati

The bus fare is:

* Rs 20.00 for adults (which includes a special darshan)
* Rs 10.00 for children

The bus that starts at 1400 hrs will halt at the Regional Science Centre.

'Travel as you Like' Bus Service

APSRTC runs a daily 'Travel as you like' bus service from Tirumala to Papavinasanam, covering important places on the way like Akasha Ganga and Japali Venugopala Swamy temple.

* Fare: Rs. 8.00 per head
* Frequency: Every 30 minutes, from 0500 hrs to 1945 hrs.

Direct Bus Service to Sri Padmavathi Temple, Tiruchanoor

There is a direct bus service from Tirupati to the Sri Padmavathi Temple, Tiruchanoor.

* Fare: Rs.17.00 per head
* Frequency: Every 30 minutes, from 0500 to 2000 hrs.

Tirupati to Tirumala on Foot

For those of you who would like to climb the hills to Tirumala to fulfil a vow, there are two well-laid stone footpaths leading to Tirumala. These paths are called sopanamargas.

The more ancient of the two sopanamargas which starts from Alipiri at the foot of the hills, is about 11 km in length, and is the commonly-used route.

The other sopanamarga from Chandragiri, though only about 6 km in length, is a more difficult route. It is mainly used by the local people and traders.

TTD provides several facilities to piligrims who walk up the hills to Tirumala.

APSRTC runs two free buses from the Tirupati Railway station to Alipiri, with a frequency of 30 minutes. Pilgrims who intend to walk up the hills to Tirumala can use these buses.

Tirupati to Tirumala

There is regular bus service from Tirupati to Tirumala almost every three minutes from 3.30 a.m to 11 p.m.
Bus fare : Rs 8.00 per head.
Admission controlled by queue system.
Link service buses are provided for direct passengers upto 11 p.m every day by A.P.S.R.T.C.

Buses for Hire:
APSRTC runs a contract carriage service of 46 seating capacity between Tirupati and Tirumala.
Rate for single journey per bus : Rs 410.00 + Rs 75.00

Rail Cum Road & Road Cum Rail Ticket (RCRT) facility is provided for the passengers leaving from Tirumala Hills.Passengers can surrender the rail cum road tickets at S.V.Bus stand and exchange for bus tickets to go to Tirumala Hills.Likewise passengers can purchase road cum rail tickets and board the bus without surrendering the tickets, in this case tickets can
be shown to the bus authorities for reference.
