The entire Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams share of Anna Prasadams (Pulihora), Chitrannam, Sweet Pongal and Curd rice are distributed free to all pilgrims coming out after darshan.
Laddu Padi (Timings: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Panyarams (Laddus) are sold on all days to pilgrims in the counter outside the temple. Tokens for Laddus can be obtained from bank counters erected in the 'Q' line for Laddus.
One Laddu Token is issued per person in the Vaikuntham Queue Complex, on payment, for SarvaDarshan pilgrims. They have to collect their laddu after darshan from the counter outside the main temple.

TTD decides to cover Tirumala Ananda Nilayam with gold
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), in its board meeting today resolved to cover the present Ananda Nilayam inside the Tirumala temple with gold , TTD Trust Board Chairman D K Audikesavulu Naidu said here.
Talking to the mediapersons after the board meeting held at Anamayya bhavan , Mr. Naidu, who recently took over the mantle of the TTD trust board, said the estimation required gold for covering the entire Ananda Nilyam will be known only after designers submit a report and later will be identified as the donors for the work.
It also decided to provide free cellar darshan to the parents of the bride and bridegroom who get married at the tirumala hills.
He said to treat major ailments and diagnose, Rs 2 crore would be sanctioned to Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) for acquiring sophisticated equipments like monitors, ventilators, dialysis machines .

TTD Package Tour in Tirupati
TTD has introduced a package tour to take you to the temples around Tirupati. The bus starts from the Central Reception Office, Tirumala at 0600 hrs every day and returns the same day at 1320 hrs to Tirupati.
You will be taken to these temples:

TTD has introduced the Alayadarsanam facility to enable pilgrims to visit the sacred shrines in and around Tirupati. These buses operate on a daily basis and start at 0600 hrs, 1000 hrs and 1400 hrs, from the choultry behind the Tirupati railway station.

Tirupati to Tirumala on Foot
For those of you who would like to climb the hills to Tirumala to fulfil a vow, there are two well-laid stone footpaths leading to Tirumala. These paths are called sopanamargas.
The more ancient of the two sopanamargas which starts from Alipiri at the foot of the hills, is about 11 km in length, and is the commonly-used route.
The other sopanamarga from Chandragiri, though only about 6 km in length, is a more difficult route. It is mainly used by the local people and traders.
TTD provides several facilities to piligrims who walk up the hills to Tirumala.
APSRTC runs two free buses from the Tirupati Railway station to Alipiri, with a frequency of 30 minutes. Pilgrims who intend to walk up the hills to Tirumala can use these buses.

Swami Pushkarini
Swami Pushkarini was originally in Vaikuntam and belonged to Sri Maha Vishnu. It was set on Earth by Garuda, for the sport of Sri Venkateswara. It is adjacent to the Sri Venkateswara temple.
Pilgrims bathe here before entering the main temple.
The mukkoti of Swami Pushkarini (the merging of over three crore teerthams in Swami Pushkarini) occurs on Mukkoti Dwadasi (the twelfth day of the fortnight of Dhanur Masa). Therefore, it is believed that bathing in the Swami Pushkarini on this day, is equivalent to bathing in the holy river, Ganges.
On the western bank of the Swami Pushkarini is the Sri Varahaswami temple, while on its southern bank is the Sri Venkateswara temple.
The wooden-float festival of Lord Sri Venkateswara in the month of February/March and Avabhrudhasnanam or Chakrasnanam during Brahmotsavam takes place in the Swami Pushkarini.

Sri Padmavathi Temple, Tiruchanoor
Tiruchanoor, also known as Alamelumangapuram, is about 5 km from Tirupati. The temple of Sri Padmavathi Devi, the consort of Lord Sri Venkateswara is situated here. It is said that a visit to Tirumala is fruitful only after visiting the Sri Padmavathi Devi temple.
You may wonder why Sri Padmavathi Devi's temple is away from Lord Sri Venkateswara's. Legend has it that the Lord (Sri Maha Vishnu, who later took on the incarnation of Sri Venkateswara) showed his reverence towards the sage, Bhrigu Maharshi, even though the sage had insulted Vishnu by kicking Him on the chest.
In anger, Sri Maha Lakshmi (the Lord's consort) reached Patala Loka, where she heard a divine voice stating that a pushkarini was dug on the banks of the river Swarnamukhi, and here She immersed herself in penance for 12 years.
In the 13th year (during the month of Karteeka, on Panchami day in the last fortnight, highlighted by the nakshathram Uttarashadha), Sri Padmavathi emerged from a golden lotus. It is believed that Goddess MahaLakshmi herself emerged as Sri Padmavathi.

Appalaya GuntaSri Prasanna Venkateswaraswami Temple is located in Appalayanagunta, 14 km from Tirupati.
It is believed that after Lord Sri Venkateswara married Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, He blessed Sri Siddeswara and other sages here.
The temple, constructed by the Rajas of Karvetinagar, consists of a shrine for Anjaneyaswami. The imposing image of the wind-god is worshipped by devotees for relief from chronic diseases.There are also idols of Goddess Padmavathi and Sri Andal here. The presiding deity in this temple, unlike in the main temple, is in the Abhaya Hastha pose.
Brahmotsavam is celebrated once a year at this temple.

Privileges
* The donor can stay for a period of 30 days only in a calender year (not exceeding 10 days at a time) by paying service charges only.
* This special privilege is extended to the individual donor and his spouse throughout his lifetime and in case of his death to his spouse for 20 years. In the case of joint names / firms / companies / trust, the privilege of stay will be limited to 20 years only.
* A tablet with the donor's name and place, also mentioning in whose memory the donation was made, will be prominently displayed in front of the cottage donated.
* Donations made for construction of Cottages/Guest Houses are not entitled to Income Tax exemption.
Nitya Laddu Danam Scheme
Sri Venkateswara Nitya Laddu Danam Scheme was started in 1981. The objective of this scheme is to distribute laddu prasadam (25 gm) free of cost to all pilgrims after completion of distribution of Anna Prasadams.
The devotees have to donate Rupees One Lakh and above. The interest earned on the deposits is utilized for the preparation and distribution of 25,000 laddus of 25 grams each in Donor's name on the day of their choice.
Donations may be made in favour of 'The Executive Officer, S.V.Nithya Annadanam Trust' and sent to 'Secretary & Deputy Executive Officer, S.V.Nithya Annadanam Trust, TTD Administrative Buildings, Tirupati-517 501.

There is regular bus service from Tirupati to Tirumala almost every three minutes from 3.30 a.m to 11 p.m.
Bus fare : Rs 8.00 per head.

APSRTC runs a contract carriage service of 46 seating capacity between Tirupati and Tirumala.

Rail Cum Road & Road Cum Rail Ticket (RCRT) facility is provided for the passengers leaving from Tirumala Hills.Passengers can surrender the rail cum road tickets at S.V.Bus stand and exchange for bus tickets to go to Tirumala Hills.Likewise passengers can purchase road cum rail tickets and board the bus without surrendering the tickets, in this case tickets can
be shown to the bus authorities for reference.
Tirumala Tirupati
Tirumala is located near the holy city of Tirupati in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh State, South India. The geographical coordinates at which it is situated is between latitude 13° and 14° North and longitude 17° East. The Tirumala Hill is 3200 feet above sea level, and is about 10.33 sq miles in area. It comprises seven hills which are said to represent the seven hoods of Adisesha, thus earning the name, Seshachalam. These seven hills are:

The sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara is located on the seventh peak, Venkatdri. Temple of Lord Venkateshwara, popularly known as Balaji, at Tirumala, is regarded as the world's richest temple.
Pilgrims have both the options of going by foot as well as by road from Tirupati to Tirumala. Administration has provided various facilities like free transportation of luggage, supply of portable water, lavatories, small shops for refreshment and snacks, etc. For those who wants to travel by road to Tirumala, there are two well-laid roads, one for onward journey while the other is for downward journey. The government runs a regular bus service between Tirupati and Tirumala from the four bus stations: Sri Venkateswara Bus Station, Balaji Link Bus Station, Sapthagiri Link Bus Station, and Sri Padmavathi Bus Station.

Pilgrim Facilities
Facilities for the devotees walking up the Hills in Tirupati
Many pilgrims walk up the hills as a part of their vow to the Lord. The TTD has provided the following facilities to them.
* Transportation of luggage free of charge to Tirumala.The pilgrims can deposit their luggage at any of the choultries in Tirupati, or at the toll gate at Alipiri, against a token and take delivery of the luggage at the central reception office counter at Tirumala.
* Provision for cooking at Galigopuram, Chittiyekkudu, Mamanduru Mitta, Narasimhaswami temple, Mokallamitta and other places.
* Availability of drinking water all along the foot-path.
* Facility of canteen run under hygienic conditions by the voluntary organisation "ISKCON" at Mamanduru Mitta (Seventh mile).
* Availability of toilets.
* Provision of sunshade at important points for taking rest.
* Arrangements for patrol by Security guards, Gurkhas and Police all along the road through out day and night to prevent unwary pilgrims from being cheated or robbed by unscrupulous elements.
* Relay of religious programmes through local broadcasting system.
